"Beyond the frame", a BreXpat project - a citizen journalism training
Do you want to use open channels to engage in open and frank discussions that promote a new sense of identity and citizenship? This is a unique opportunity to launch your career as a citizen journalist.
The project "Beyond the frame" wants to compose a mixed group of expatriates and other inhabitants of Brussels. After a series of media workshops, this group will make video reports about the different artists, partners and volunteers preparing the Zinneke Parade. The reports will be broadcasted by TV Brussels and posted on the website of the Zinneke Parade & Indymedia.be.
“Beyond the frame” wants to promote citizenship and commitment and stimulate the dialogue between the "zinnekes" and ex-pats. The frame is the socio-politically and culturally created border, which defines the opinion of people. During "Beyond the frame" the participants and the public will see Brussels through the eyes of engaged citizens and social organizations.
